A planet and its moon are dimly lit by a distant sun
Dimly lit by a distant sun the foreground moon in this far off system receives only enough light energy to show a rocky frozen surface. The cloud-draped planet on the horizon is also in the early stage of its evolution and life has not yet taken hold. This imaginary system could be any of billions of stars, planets and moons spread throughout the vastness of our own Milky Way galaxy
