Carriers present are (clockwise from bottom): USS Ranger (CVA-61), USS Yorktown (CVS-10), USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) and USS Hancock (CVA-19). The guided missile cruiser USS Canberra (CAG-2) is in the center of the formation. The destroyer screen includes: USS England (DLG-22), USS Gurke (DD-783), USS Rodgers (DD-876), USS Walker (DD-517), USS O'Bannon (DD-450), USS Somers (DD-947), USS Jenkins (DD-447), USS John A. Bole (DD-755), USS Higbee (DD-806), USS Buck (DD-761), USS Joseph Strauss (DDG-16) and USS Ernest G. Small (DD-838).
