Altai mummy

Novosibirsk. Scientists of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences having examined the DNA of the Altai mummies of 2.5 thousand years of age come to an idea that all Siberian people and Europeans are from a single protopopulation. The mummies were found well preserved by the scientists of the Archaeology and Ethnography Institute in 1993-95 at the Ukok plateau in the Altai Mountain.
