Commemoration of August Coup victims in Moscow, 1991

Moscow, Soviet Union. The mourning rally on August 24, 1991 near the Russian White House commemorates victims of a tragic accident during the 1991 August Coup: Ilya Krichevsky, Dmitry Komar, and Vladimir Usov. All three were posthumously awarded Gold Stars of Heroes of the Soviet Union. The rally was attended by President of the Russian SFSR Boris Yeltsin and other statesmen (not pictured).
