Commemoration of August Coup victims in Moscow, 1991

Moscow, Soviet Union. Crosses of flowers mark the place of a tragic accident which claimed lives of Ilya Krichevsky, Dmitry Komar, and Vladimir Usov during the 1991 August Coup. All three were posthumously awarded Gold Stars of Heroes of the Soviet Union, The mourning rally on August 24, 1991 near the Russian White House was attended by President of the Russian SFSR Boris Yeltsin and other statesmen (not pictured).
