Corridor for evacuation of residents of Geghi

RUSSIA. July 11, 1996. Situation became serious again in Chechen Republic. Federal troops and rebels are clashing, checkpoints are fired on, representatives of the legitimate authorities of the Chechen Republic are attacked, soldiers and civilians are dying. The federal troops opened the evacuation corridor for Geghi villagers on July, 11th. They had a military operation here against Chechen separatists which ended on July, 12th.
