Deputy Chief doctor of the First Moscow Hospice

MOSCOW, RUSSIA.JANUARY 24. Deputy Chief doctor of the First Moscow Hospice Fyodor Litvishenko/L/ bends over an aged patient during the morning doctor's round. For the present day in Moscow this is the first and the only one medical and prophylactic health care institution for doomed oncological patients. The hospice gives medical, social, psychological, legal and religious aid to patients and their family members. There are beds for as many as 25 patients needing permanent care, and a department for people who stay at the hospice for 3-4 hours a day. Moscow Government plans to organize such hospices in each of the 10 city prefectures
