Dramatoria symphony No. 5 by A. Karamanov

MOSCOW, USSR. January 22, 1979. The first performance of a dramatoria by Ukranian composer A. Karamanov based on Vladimir Mayakovsky's poem Vladimir Ilyich Lenin took place in the Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The Symphony orchestra of the USSR State Cinematography Committee and Moscow State Regional Choir directed by V. Sokolov and conducted by Konstantin Krimets, performed the dramatoria, with the Soviet poet E. Evtushenko reading the poem. Igor Zotin/TASS
