Earthquake in Armenia, 1988

Spitak, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union. A view of a field hospital on the outskirts of the city destroyed by a severe earthquake at a magnitude of 6.8 which struck the north of Armenia on December 7, 1988 devastating Leninakan, Stepanavan and several other cities and claiming at least 25, 000 lives, another 500, 000 people injured or homeless.
