Father Frost enters Manege Square, 1998

Moscow, Russia. Father Frost has arrived in Moscow on December 27 from his residence in Veliky Ustyug [his current official residence in Vologda region since 1999] and enters Manege Square riding on a Russian Troika [traditional vehicle drawn be three horses abreast]. He would further officially meet with the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and take part in a New Year's celebration including a large concert programme, turning on the New Year tree in Red Square and a firework show.
