Liquidator protective clothing on display at Chernobyl

Moscow, Russia. An example of protective clothing on display in the Chernobyl section of the Central Museum of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. It was worn by civil and military personnel - liquidators - called upon to eliminate consequences of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster which took place on April 26, 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and resulted in massive radioactive contamination of significant areas in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and other neigbouring European countries.
