Museum of Normandie-Niemen Regiment in Ivanov No. 29 School

IVANOVO, RUSSIA. September 1, 1992. Ivanovo No. 29 school hosts the Museum of the Normandie-Niemen Regiment. In the fall of 1942 a group of French volunteer pilots came to Ivanovo. They were warmly welcomed by the residents of the city which became the birthplace of the Normandie-Niemen regiment. The present Normandy-Neman pilots arrived at Severny airfield in Ivanovo with the Mirage jet aircrafts accompanied by the Russian Knights aerobatic team to participate in the air show.
