Novovoronezh nuclear power plant training center, 1996
Voronezh Region, Russia. On Jule 22, 1996, Koji Watanabe (3rd left in the middle, wearing a brown suit), Japan's ambassador to Russia, and Viktor Mikhailov (2nd left in the middle), Minister of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation, attended the presentation of the WWER-320 [Water-Water Energetic Reactor] simulator held at the Novovoronezh nuclear power plant training center. The reactor was built by experts of the All-Russian Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plants Operation and Atomtekhenergo engineering enterprise in cooperation with the Nuclear Power Engineering Corporation of Japan.
