The State Kremlin Palace hosted the 8th International contest of ballet dancers awarding ceremony. 23-year old Andrei Batalov, dancer of the Mariinsky Theatre, won the Grand Prize - 10, 000 dollars and the Grand Gold medal, thus it was just the 3rd time such high award was conferred.
