Russia and Germany joint research in Chernobyl
Bryansk Region, Russia. German and Russian scientists carry out a research on the influence of contaminated food on people who continue to live in areas affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The accident took place on April 26, 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and resulted in massive radioactive contamination of significant areas in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and other neigbouring European countries.
