Russian Atommash machine-building plant revived, 1997

Volgodonsk, Rostov Region, Russia. The Atommash machine-building plant has become a part of the Energomash power engineering company and resumed its work after a protracted crisis. Built in 1978, Atommash mainly specialised in atomic and thermal power engineering. The Soviet atomic industry crisis caused by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster made Atommash to expand the range of manufactured goods.
