Russian Atommash wind power stations for Kalmykia

Volgodonsk, Rostov Region, Russia. A view of the wind power station equipment produced for Kalmykia and Dagestan by the Atommash machine-building plant after a protracted crisis. Built in 1978, Atommash mainly specialised in atomic and thermal power engineering. The Soviet atomic industry crisis caused by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster made Atommash to expand the range of manufactured goods.
