Baikonur, Kazakh SSR, USSR. A booster rocket carrying the Soyuz TM-7 spacecraft crew of Soviet cosmonauts Sergei Krikalev, Alexander Volkov, and French astronaut Jean-Loup Chretien blasts off to the Mir Space Station from a launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
