Taganrog. Rostov region. USSR. September 19, 1959. A memorial board on the building of the Taganrog drama theatre. The board reads: the theatre was frequently attended by Russian writer Anton Chekhov in his upper secondary school years, that's why the Soviet government decided to name this theater after Anton Chekhov in 1944.
