Tsar Cannon, 1997

Moscow, Russia. The Tsar Cannon, cast in 1586 in Moscow by the Russian master bronze caster Andrey Chokhov, is a monument of the Russian artillery and foundry art. The Tsar Cannon is made of bronze and weighs 40 tonnes and has a length of 5.84 m. Its bronze-cast barrel has an internal diameter of 890 mm. Vladimir Yatsina/ITAR-TASS
