Witte Gold Medal awarding ceremony, 2000

Moscow, Russia. State Duma member, former Prime Minister, Yevgeny Primakov (L), Chairman of the Russian Accounts Chamber Sergei Stepashin (C), and Chairman of the Russian Supreme Court of Arbitration Veniamin Yakovlev (R) among others have been awarded Russia's newly-instituted Witte Gold Medal [dedicated to the 150th birthday of Count Sergei Witte, an outstanding policy-maker of the Russian Empire] for their contribution to the development of Russia.
