Avia S-199 Sakeen 112.T

Avia S-199 Sakeen 112.T (msn 782358), at the Israeli Air Force Museum, Hatzerim AFB, Israel. The Avia S-199 was produced by Avia after the war, by fitting the Jumo 211F to the Messerschmitt Bf 109G airframe. Avia had already produced the Avia S-99 version with the original Daimler Benz DB605 engine, but quickly ran out of stock of the engine. Fitting the Jumo 211, had the unfortunate effect of worsening the ground-handling of the already tricky S-99, due to the torque of the paddle-bladed propeller
