Gloster Javelin FAW.9 XH897 / A, of the A&AEE Boscombe Down. This Javelin was used as a chase aircraft and for airspeed calibration, fitted with an accurate calibrated instrument system. (This aircraft would often fly over the road where I lived and was very distinctive with the red and white calibration / formation keeping markings)
