Cartoon of Sir Squire Bancroft (1841-1926) and John Lawrence Toole (1830-1906), actor-managers. Bancroft tells Toole that the latter's burlesque, Fedora (Stage Dora, or, Who Killed Cock Robin), in production at the Toole Theatre, is no doubt very funny, but "we don't like it", probably because it makes fun of the serious theatre, including Bancroft's own style of acting
