Cartoon, tailoring for actors -- Actors pieces may be made up nowadays with every consideration to peculiarity of figure. (This cartoon is not intended to apply to anybody in particular.) The man on the left bears a close resemblance to the actor John Lawrence Toole (1830-1906). Probably a reference to the adaptation of French plays for the English theatre, in particular Stage Dora, or, Who Killed Cock Robin, adapted by F C Burnand from Sardou's play, Fedora, then in production at Toole's Theatre, London
