Hubert and Prince Arthur -- a scene from Shakespeare's play, King John. The young Prince Arthur, Duke of Brittany, was imprisoned at the Chateau de Falaise, guarded by Hubert de Burgh, 1st Earl of Kent. Arthur had at one time been Richard I's preferred successor. Arthur disappeared in April 1203 and many saw the hand of King John in his fate
