Robert Kett refusing a pardon for treason

Robert Kett the Tanner (other sources describe him as a yeoman farmer) refusing the pardon of King Edward VI. Kett led a rebellion in Norfolk in response to land enclosures. He was offered a pardon, but replied that he did not need one because he had not committed treason. He was later captured, tried, convicted and executed
