Charter (Fragments)

Charter recording a mortgage for a house, cut into two pieces for use as book binding material. On parchment. Text in dark brown-black ink in a gothic cursive hand. Most of the text appears to be present if the two pieces are laid side by side but the edges of f.2 have been roughly cut and some pieces are missing from the top two lines. In a German dialect, possibly Middle Franconian. Also includes a 19th/20th century transcription of the text
