Demonstration, discrimination against women in media

A demonstration by Women in the Media, protesting about discrimination against women in journalism. They picketed outside the offices of Punch magazine in Fleet Street, London, displaying placards which read: Don't Be A Punch Bag and No More Sexual Apartheid. Following this, the token women journalists of Punch produced a takeover issue of the magazine (29 March 1972) with the politician Barbara Castle as Editor
