Tokyo, Japan: a small group of Japanese students, entirely surrounded by police, demonstrating against the British nuclear tests. On May 16th 1957 a group of members of the Tokyo Students' Union demostrated outside the gates of the British Embassy, carrying placards saying 'Down with Macmillan' and 'We protest British H-Bomb'. A smaller group staged a 'sit down' protest in the embassy grounds.
