Alfred Cecil Critchley (1890-1963), greyhound racing pioneer and aviation administrator. Critchley was responsible for introducing greyhound racing to Britain in 1926 with the building of a track at Belle Vue, Manchester. He founded and was Managing Director of the Greyhound Racing Association and was instrumental in establishing the sport in the country.
