Description A converted bus for pigeons
Details

A motor bus converted into a home, or cote, for French carrier pigeons. Pigeons, along with dogs, proved to be a vital method of communication during battles. Around 100,000 pigeons were used during World War I with 95% of messages successfully reaching their intended recipient.
