Double page spread from The Sketch magazine featuring the New Zealand-born four times Wimbledon tennis champion, Anthony Wilding demonstrating various strokes, shots and grips. Wilding was hugely popular and well-known in society. He lost in the 1914 final to Norman Brookes. He was killed on the Western Front in May 1915 near Neuve Chapelle at the Battle of Aubers Ridge.
