A garden party at Holland House, Kensington during the height of the London Season. Holland House, originally known as Cope Castle when it was built in 1605, became a glittering social centre in the 19th century, under the 3rd Lord and Lady Holland. The majority of the house was destroyed by German bombers during the Blitz of 1940.
