| Description | A girls' marathon in traditional Greek costume? |
| Details |
The Sketch suggests that the problem of empty seats that beset the 1908 London Olympics could have been solved by holding a girls' marathon in the becoming Ancient Greek women-runners' costume. The model is Miss Pattie Wells. She looks at a statue of a Spartan girl starting for a race in Ancient Olympia.
