Description | A New Theory of the Universe |
Details |
Page from the Illustrated London News reporting on a new theory expounded by Professor A. S. Eddington Dr A. C. de la C. Crommelin, after two British astronomical expeditions to Brazil and the Island of Principe to observe the total eclipse of the sun. They both agreed that the gravitation of the sun causes a bending of the path of a ray of light; or, in simple terms, light has weight.
