A scene from the melodrama 'The Courier of Lyons', as performed at the Princess Theatre. Here, old Lesurgues has returned after a brief spell of absence from his inn, and sees Dubosc, who he mistakes for his son, enaged in the act of murder. Lesurgues interfers and is shot in the shoulder.
