A few scenes characteristic of when British troops arrived at their billets in an Italian village, as witnessed by the famous silhouette artist, Captain H. L. Oakley. The travelling field kitchens were of great interest to the Italian women, The Parrocho, or priest, is refusing an invitation to dinner as he is fasting and the top illustration shows troops on the march.
