Accession of Queen Victoria, 1837, June 20th 5am. When they brought our young Queen her new beautiful crown, she was still fast asleep, so she hadn't come down. The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Lord Chamberlain knocking at the door, holding a crown on a cushion, to bring the news of the death of King William IV and to tell the former Princess Victoria that she is now Queen.
