Advertisement for Blue Star Line's Mediterranean cruises on board the S.S. Arandora Star. The Arandora Star was requisitioned as a troop ship during the Second World War, and was sunk by a German torpedo when it was carrying Italian and German internees and POWs, the majority of whom lost their lives.
