'What is Pliofilm'? Developed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, was a rubber-based clear plastic used to protect equipment, especially weapons, from water and sand during the D-Day landings. Also used for wrapping foods, drugs, tabacco, and all other moisture-sensitive products.
