Description Air raid precautions at Westminster Abbey, September 1939
Details

Selection of pictures detailing the precautions in place for the protection of Westminster Abbey during the war. This included; a fire squad to patrol the cloisters, a nerve centre able to contact all parts of the building, a casualty station with a qualified nurse, and a set of wardens ready to deal with all emergencies.
