Description | All about our lawn tennis club 1886 |
Details |
Humorous sketches in the form of a comic strip by Arthur Hopkins 'all about our lawn tennis club' in which a group of people decide to make their own tennis court by cutting down saplings and brushwood, rolling the grass and putting up netting. Finally, they invite the famous player Renshaw for a game, but are soundly thrashed by him, due, said Renshaw, to the fact the court was 'so wretchedly bad'.
