Description An allegory of Edith Cavell
Details

Entitled, 'She Died like a Heroine' showing Edith Cavell, shortly after execution by German soldiers. Cavell was arrested and charged with helping 200 Allied soldiers to escape to the neutral Netherlands. She was executed on October 12th 1915.
