Details

Scenes from the film version of the stage play, An Englishman's Home, produced by B and C Film in 1914. Originally written by Guy du Maurier (who was killed in action in 1915), the play presciently predicted what might happen if there was an invasion of Britain. After the outbreak of the First World War, the play had enhanced significance and was adapted for cinema.
