Description Anglo-Belgian war memorial unveiled, 1920
Details

The unveiling of the Anglo-Belgian War Memorial on the Victoria Embankment, London, on 12th October 1920, the fifth anniversary of the shooting of Edith Cavell in Brussels. Princess Clementine of Belgium unveiled the memorial, a tribute of gratitude to the British nation. It is the work of Victor Rousseau, Belgian sculptor, and Reginald Blomfield, British architect.
