The first ever face-to-face talks between President Anwar Sadat of Egypt(1918-1981) and the Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin(1913-1992). Sadat became the first Arab leader to set foot in Israel in its 29 years of existence when he arrived in Tel Aviv at the start of his two day visit.
