Details

Arrival of the Royal Procession at Custom-House Quay, London, 30th October 1849. Prince Albert and his children, the Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal, arrived by Royal Barge in order to inaugurate a new Coal exchange in Lower Thames-Street. The Royal Barge, built for Prince Frederick in 1732, can be seen on the left of the image, rowed by 22 men and with the royal standard at the bow.
