Betty Fitzgerald, (later known as Duffy Ayers), (Mrs Michael Rothenstein) exhibited very little at the artists' village show at Great Bardfield, Essex, as most of her work consists of commissioned portraits. The Victorian hat model shown here was discovered in a junk shop in the South of France.
