A page from the The Tatler recording the coming and goings of diplomats at the Austrian Embassy following the assassination of the Austrian heir, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo. The pictures show, clockwise from left, the Russian and Austrian ambassadors, the Serbian minister at the Court of St. James, Prince Ali Mohamed Pasha, brother of the Khedive of Egypt and the Swiss Minister leaving the Austrian embassy. King George V paid a visit of sympathy to the Austrian Embassy.
